NexGard Spectra Purple is a chewable treatment designed for dogs, providing protection against a comprehensive range of parasites for 30 days. The tasty beef-flavored and palatable taste of the treatment makes it easy to administer to dogs. NexGard Spectra for very small dogs (15.1-30 kg) is vet recommended and is quick in eliminating fleas and ticks, as well as controlling mange and mites caused by different tick infections on dogs (demodectic mange, sarcoptic mange, and ear mites). It works against intestinal worms, including roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Moreover, it is effective in preventing flea tapeworm infestation and protects dogs from life-threatening heartworm disease.
Nexgard Spectra Flea and Heartworm Treatment for Large Dogs
NexGard Spectra is suitable for dogs that weigh between 15.1 – 30 kg in body weight and are above 8 weeks of age. It is composed of Afoxolaner 75 mg, Milbemycin Oxime 15 mg, which means it kills parasites that live on a dog's skin, such as fleas, ticks, mange, and mites (Sarcoptic mange, Demodectic mange, ear mites). The ingredient reduces flea contamination by killing flea eggs. It provides protection from flea infestation in dogs for 5 weeks and works against tick species Dermacentor variabilis (American Dog Ticks), Ixodes scapularis (Blacklegged Ticks), and Amblyomma americanum (Lone Star Ticks), in dogs for 4 weeks.
Milbemycin oxime is the other ingredient of NexGard Spectra that works as an "endoparasiticide," killing parasites that live inside the canine body, such as worms. It aids in controlling and treating eyeworms, lungworms, and gut worms (roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms). Moreover, it also prevents heartworm disease in dogs
