What is RSPCA Heartworm Tablet?

RSPCA Heartworm Monthly Tablets is a popular heartworm preventive treatment. It prevents heartworm disease and when given monthly, it controls future infection year around. The heartworm tablet treats the immature form of heartworm larvae – Dirofilaria Immitis.  The oral treatment is easy to administer and has no known side effects. It is safe to administer to dogs and puppies over 6 weeks of age.  

How It Works?

RSPCA Heartworm tablet is a monthly heartworm preventive. It contains potent ingredient Ivermectin. The key ingredient acts on immature stages of heartworm and eliminates them. The oral treatment prevents heartworm infection and protects dogs against harmful effects of heartworm disease.

Directions

  • Use only as directed.
  • Administer the treatment on the monthly basis.
  • If possible, treat on the same date of the previous treatment.
  • Select the pack according to the weight of the dog.
  • Administer it orally directly through mouth or can be mixed with food.
  • When mixed with food, ensure the full dosage has been taken for complete effectiveness.

Note: Collies including Border Collies and other breeds have genetic intolerance towards Ivermectin. Those pet owners with Collies and other susceptible breeds should look for alternatives to Ivermectin for the treatment of parasites.
