What is Milbemax?

Milbemax is a broad spectrum intestinal wormer monthly treatment that prevents heartworm infections in dogs. It also protects dogs from roundworm, hookworm, whipworm and tapeworm. This treatment is extremely safe for all breeds and sizes of dogs. It can even be given to pregnant, breeding, and lactating dogs.

How it works?

Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel are the two active ingredients present in this worming treatment. Milbemycin oxime acts as a hurdle and blocks the nerve transmission in intestinal parasites and kills them. These worms are then excreted by the dogs through natural mechanism. Praziquantel causes muscle spasms in tapeworms which in turn results in attack of the enzymes and ultimately they get disintegrated in the digestive system of the doggie. It kills all types of worms except tapeworms. Thus this unique formulation when combined results in complete worming protection including heartworm.

How to Use

Directions

  • The minimum dosage recommended by veterinarian in dogs is 0.5 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg bodyweight of a dog
  • Give a single dose of the tablet in oral form
  • For intestinal worm infection and heartworm give monthly tablet to the dog
  • You can give this tablet either directly to the dog through mouth or by mixing it in his food
  • If your pooch is less than 12 weeks of age give Milbemax once every 2 weeks
  • After that continue it once every three months for protection against intestinal worms
  • For heartworm prevention give this tablet once a month preferably on the same date of the month

  • Keep the product in a cool and dry place.
  • Children and pets should not be allowed to get near the product.
  • Before administering this treatment test your doggie with prevailing heartworm infection.
  • This treatment can be administered in breeding males and females along with pregnant and lactating dogs.
  • This treatment is intended only for dog use.

Contraindications:

  • If your doggie is less than 5 kg bodyweight do not administer this treatment to him.
  • If your doggie is less than 2 weeks of age or weighing less than 0.5 kg do not administer this treatment.
