What is Popantel?

Popantel is one of the most popular deworming treatments for cats. The broad-spectrum allwormer kills various intestinal worms in felines and eliminates them. It destroys roundworms, hookworms and tapeworms in kittens and cats. Proper dosage and timely treatment prevents worm infection in cats and protects from various intestinal tract infections. Deworming cats need to be started at early stage to control worms and safeguard their health.

Safe to use on cats and kittens above 2 weeks of age.

How It Works?

Popantel contains two active ingredients - Praziquantel and Pyrantel Embonate. Working as adulticide and larvicide, the ingredients directly attack worms. The anthelminthic formula kills wide range of gastrointestinal worms and help to eliminate them from cat body through natural process. It deworms cats from harmful internal worms and protects from further infestation. Proper dosage on timely basis controls intestinal worms and prevents re-infestation.

How to Use
Directions

  • Weigh your cat before starting the treatment
  • Give Popantel as a single dosage directly through the mouth
  • Or crush it and mix it in food.
  • Ensure that your pet is having empty stomach before administering the tab.
  • Treat kittens with Popantel every two weeks from 2 weeks of age until 12 weeks.
  • Then treat monthly from 3 months of age until 6 months of age.
  • Then onwards for adult cats, treat every 3 months regularly.
  • Treat pregnant and lactating mothers before mating, 10 days before kittening and 2 to 4 weeks after kittening.
