What is Eraquell Paste?

Eraquell Paste is one of the effective horse wormers. It treats and protects horses against both immature and mature gastrointestinal worms including roundworms, lungworms and bots. It is specially indicated for the treatment of

  • Large strongyles
  • Small strongyles
  • Hairworms
  • Pinworms
  • Ascarids
  • Intestinal threadworms
  • Large-mouth stomach worms

  • Stomach bots

It comes in easy to use and handy sized syringe. Eraquell paste is simple to use for exclusive protection against numerous worms.

How It Works?

Eraquell Paste contains the most popular ingredient – Ivermectin. The active anthelmintic is a macrocyclic lactone derivative and acts by inhibiting nerve impulses. It binds selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels which occur in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells. This tends to an increase in the permeability of the cell membrane to chloride ions with hyperpolarization of the nerve or muscle cell, resulting in paralysis and death of the relevant parasites. The oral administration eliminates worms and further prevents infections.

How to Use
Directions

  • Each syringe division mark plunger delivers enough paste to treat 100 kg of bodyweight.
  • One syringe of 7.49 g delivers sufficient paste to treat 700 kg of bodyweight at the recommended dose.
  • Before treatment, ensure the horse mouth is empty.
  • The syringe must be positioned between the front and back teeth and the paste must be placed on the base of the horse’s tongue.
  • Immediately elevate the head of the horse for a few seconds to ensure deglutition.
  • Re-treatment should be done according to the epidemiological situation, but not at less than 30 days interval.

  • Store below 30ºC (Room Temperature) away from light.
  • Do not drink or smoke while handling the product.
  • Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • Wash hand thoroughly after use.
  • Store it in a cool and dry place.
  • Keep away from children and other pets.
  • Never use in dogs or cats as severe adverse reactions may occur.
  • Do not use in cases of known hypersensitivity to the active substance.
  • Withdrawal period for meat and offal is 30 days.
  • Do not use in mares producing milk for human consumption.
