What is Milbemax Allwormer?

Milbemax Allwormer for dogs is a widely used worming treatment for gastrointestinal worms in canines. The oral treatment kills and prevents roundworm (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), Whipworm (trichuris vulpis), Hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma braziliense) and tapeworm infections (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia Aqua Oneo., Echinococcus granulosus). Safe for breeding, pregnant and lactating females, Milbemax given monthly effectively protects your dog from various internal parasites as well as heartworms.

Safe to use in dogs and puppies from 2 weeks of age and weighing above 0.5 kg.

How It Works?

Two active ingredients - Milbemycin oxime and praziquantel are present in Milbemax. Milbemycin oxime interferes with nerve transmiss

ion in invertebrates, which helps protect against heartworm, roundworm, hookworm and whipworm.

Praziquantel causes muscle spasm in tapeworm, which are then attacked by enzymes and disintegrate. It kills all intestinal forms of tapeworm except Spirometra spp, which require a higher than standard dose rate.

  • Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting the treatment.
  • Administer the tab orally into the mouth or mix it with food.
  • Start treatment in males and females from 2 weeks of age and onwards.
  • Treat once every 2 weeks until 12 weeks of age.
  • Then once every 3 months for protection against intestinal worms.
  • Treat monthly for prevention from heartworms.
  • If dose is missed, treat immediately and resume monthly dosing.
