What is Equest Gel?

Equest Gel is a long-lasting formula for treating various gastrointestinal worms in horses. It is specially indicated for the treatment and prevention of infestation caused due to mature and immature stages of various internal worms. It kills internal worms including encysted developing larval stages of small redworms, arterial stages of large redworms, and bots. The single dose is effective in removing worms and protecting horses from further infestation. Equest Gel is a long-lasting treatment that works for about 13 weeks and protects horses against various horse worms.

How It Works?

Equet Gel is especially recommended for the treatment of various worms in horses. It contains powerful ingredient – Moxidectin. This ingredient is highly efficient in eliminating various types of gastrointestinal worms and bots. It effectively acts on all stages of encysted small redworms with just one treatment. Equest Gel has a long-lasting effect and protects horses against re-infestation. The oral gel base comes in the syringe, which makes it easy to administer and the gel form is readily accepted.

  • One syringe is sufficient to treat 700 kg horse at the recommended dosage rate.
  • One graduation on the calibrated syringe provides sufficient gel to treat 25 kg bodyweight.
  • For accurate dosing, use a scale or weigh tape to ensure accurate dosing.
  • To avoid overdosing, care should be taken to accurately dose foals, especially low bodyweight foals or young ponies.
  • The recommended dosing interval for the control of small strongyles is 13 weeks.
