What is Selehold for Cats?

Selehold is an effective topical formulation to fight multiple parasites in cats and kittens. Its monthly application treats and controls flea infestations, ear mites, roundworms and hookworms. It also keeps your cat safe from the heartworm disease. Selehold is suitable for use on cats older than 6 weeks of age and it also works for breeding, pregnant or lactating cats.

Selehold is a generic version of Revolution. Selehold is made with the same ingredient (selamectin) as Revolution but it is more economical than Revolution.

How does Selehold for Cats work?

The active ingredient of Selehold is selamectin. Selamectin paralyzes and/or kills parasites by disturbing their normal neurotransmission. This causes the inhibition of electrical activity of nerve cells in worms and muscle cells in insects, leading to the death of these parasites.

How to Use
Directions

  • Selehold is a monthly treatment.
  • Every month, apply the correct color-coded pack of Selehold as per the weight of your cat.
  • Take out the applicator pipette from the pack and remove the cap from the pipette.
  • Part the cat’s coat at the base of the neck in front of the shoulder blades until the skin is visible and squeezes its contents completely onto the skin in one spot.
  • Avoid contacting the contents of pipette with your fingers.

  • Only use for cats older than 6 weeks of age
  • Do not apply more than once a month
  • The product is for topical applications only
  • Do not apply when the animal’s hair coat is wet
  • Do not apply to the ear canal of the cat for ear mite treatment
  • Do not use it for underweight cats or cats with any diseases
  • Avoid direct contact with treated animals until the liquid is dried
  • Wash your hands after handling the product
