Sentinel Spectrum is a monthly treatment for preventing and controlling heartworms, fleas and intestinal parasites found in dogs. The palatable tablets with beef flavor are a treat for the dogs and studies suggest that 97% of the dogs take treatment directly by hand and love to chew Sentinel.

One tablet administered on a monthly basis all year round protects small, medium and large sized dogs from fleas, deadliest of parasitical worm diseases and heartworm infections.

Milbemycin oxime present in Sentinel affects the nerve transmission in animals and thus protects against intestinal worms including heartworm, whipworm, hookworm and roundworm.

Lufenuron controls flea breeding cycle and does not allow flea eggs and larvae to develop into adult flea. It considerably reduces the number of fleas thriving on the dog.

How to Use

Directions

First get your pet dog checked by a veterinarian for adult heartworm infection. The dog should not have such infection before starting the treatment. Also, it is advised to start the treatment prior to flea season as Sentinel does not kill adult fleas.

Monthly one dosage is given directly in the mouth or can be mixed with full meal. Monitor your pet to check that entire dose is consumed. If the pet does not consume entire dose then you need to re-dose immediately with full dose. If possible maintain the same date for each monthly treatment.

Puppies need to be treated at 8 and 12 weeks of age and then periodically at every month. Adult dogs need to be given the dose once a month. Breeding and pregnant bitches need to be administered at mating, prior to whelping and then every month.

To avoid this, it is a must to consult a veterinarian and get your dog tested for adult heartworm infection. Sentinel is safe to be given to puppies from 6 weeks of age and breeding dogs. Also, it can be given to collies dogs which are sensitive to ivermectin.

Though it is highly safe but in some rare cases the dog might show adverse reactions like vomiting, diarrhea, depression or pruritus. Please contact your vet in case of any unusual signs displayed after treatment.
