How it works?
Seresto consists of Flumethrin, a pyrethroid insecticide that is used externally in veterinary medication against insects and ticks on dogs. Another key component present in the collar is imidacloprid, an insecticide that acts on the nervous system of insects and blocks neuronal pathway. It then prevents acetylcholine from transmitting impulses between nerves paralyzing the insect and killing it eventually.
Please Note:
Dogs must not be bathed more than once per month in order to maintain eight-month flea protection duration.
For small dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to 5 months for flea control and reduced to 7 months for tick control.
For large dogs that swim once a month or more, the control duration is reduced to 5 months for flea control and reduced to 3 months for tick control.
